Target Audience

Anyone involved in the planning, management or monitoring of social media channels for a business or organisation. Anyone working in communications and community or membership relations who are keen to learn more about integrating social media into their wider strategic plan.

Outline

The session will include an overview of the social media landscape in Ireland and an introduction to using social media strategically for your organisation. We’ll work through the key elements of how to develop an effective social media strategy including how best to align with overarching organisational objectives, deliver key messages and measure success.

Instructor

Emma Walsh

Emily is Director of Training at Alice PR & Events. She plans and delivers training in communications skills to clients ranging from Local Enterprise Offices and SMEs to national charities and community and voluntary groups.

Outside of her training work, Emily is an Account Director at Alice PR, providing ongoing media relations, digital marketing and event management support to a range of Alice clients. She has worked in agency PR for seven years, and joined Alice in 2016.

Outcomes

Participants will gain the knowledge, insight and practical tools they need to develop a social media strategy that works for their organisation through a guided session, practical tasks and group discussions.
