Presentation Skills Basics is designed for staff, volunteers and board members who are responsible for public speaking and giving presentations within and outside their organisation.
This training session aims to help organisations to build or enhance their presentation skills. The training includes practical exercises and mock presentations with feedback. It is particularly useful for participants who have little presentation experience.
Emily Brennan is Training Manager / Senior Account Manager at Alice PR & Events, with specific responsibility for designing and delivering tailored training programmes. She manages events and public relations campaigns for clients ranging from charities, private-sector companies and statutory agencies. She regularly delivers training and coaching to not-for-profit organisations on event management and online communications.
Alice PR & Events is an independent communications agency, connecting clients with their target audiences through media relations, marketing, public affairs, social media, training and creative events. Alice PR works with organisations in a wide range of sectors, including the public, not-for-profit, SME and events sectors. Since it was established in July 2015, Alice PR & Events has won over 100 client accounts and expanded to a staff team of 12. The team is led by founder and Managing Director, Martina Quinn.
Participants will have a better understanding of:
- Key preparations techniques;
- Presenting information in an engaging way;
- Public speaking and delivery;
- Tips on personal appearance, including advice on dressing appropriately for public appearances;
- Handling the unexpected.
