This online course will be delivered over 4 weekly Zoom sessions as per the details below. For privacy reasons, these sessions will not be recorded, so please make sure to attend all 4 sessions if possible.

Target Audience

CEOs, Senior Leaders and Managers. Upper and middle management is central to effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring transparent communication between the board and the rest of the organisation.

Outline

CEOs, Senior Leaders and Managers play a primary role in ensuring the non-profit organisation operates within effective governance practices. Recognising the myriad responsibilities these people have, this workshop will help build awareness of the current governance culture and what is needed to close the gaps to establish a best practice governance environment. Siobhán will introduce a coaching framework, the GOVERN™ framework, which CEOs, Senior Leaders & Managers will be empowered to use in formal and   informal conversations with teams, peers, and the board. It will help support developing a culture of more evenly shared responsibilities throughout the organisation though empowering others.

Target Audience

Participants should have either completed the Intermediate course and/or be familiar with the material from experience. This is for people who use Excel regularly and are already comfortable with features such as formulas, filtering, basic functions, pivot tables and vlookups.

Outline

The course will take place on Zoom over 4 sessions as per details below. Homework will be assigned between sessions. Resources and links will be stored on a platform called GiraffePad. Please note these sessions will be recorded and recordings will be sent to attendees only. Full instructions and links will be given after registration.

Session One (90 minutes) 17 Nov starting at 2.30pm

  • Revision of basics: Alternatives to VLookup, Index/Match, XLookup.

Session Two (90 minutes) 24 Nov starting at 2.30pm

  • Review of homework, Nested IFs, Creating Dropdown Lists with Data Validation, Macros.

Session Three (90 minutes) 1 Dec starting at 2.30pm

  • Introduction to Power Query, Excel’s free Data cleansing tool.

Session Four (90 minutes) 8 Dec starting at 2.30pm

  • Introduction to Dashboards.

In this short course you will learn how to create infographics in PowerPoint.

Story – we’ll start by considering your data and how best to display it for maximum impact.

Colour – you’ll understand the importance of colour and how to choose additional colours that complement each other and apply this in themes.

Design – you’ll learn the fundamental basics to arrange shapes to create infographics. Shapes – you’ll learn advanced tools to allow you to create any shape imaginable.

Icons – you’ll learn how to use icons, change the colours and edit the icons. You’ll discover where to find additional icons if you cannot find the right one in PowerPoint.

Format – you’ll learn how to use special effects with both shapes and text. You’ll learn time- saving tips and tricks to make your infographic looks professional.

This course is designed to enhance your understanding of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) – what it is & why it matters for your Board, your teams and yourself. Relevant Equality legislation is referenced and how it links with our day-to-day. The course delves into the barriers that constrain our ability to fully embrace diversity and sustain an inclusive working environment.
