Volunteers Week: A Carmichael resident doing vital work in the volunteer space in Ireland

4 June 2026

It’s Volunteers’ Week, and we want to introduce you to one of our Carmichael residents doing vital work in this space.

Volunteer Ireland is the national volunteer development organisation and a support body for all local Volunteer Centres across Ireland. They work to grow and support volunteering in all its forms, connecting people with opportunities to give their time, and helping organisations make the most of the incredible volunteers who show up for them.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the community and the voluntary sector. Volunteer Ireland exists to ensure that volunteering in Ireland is valued, visible and as easy as possible to access.

Through advocacy, training, resources, and national coordination, they are helping build a country where volunteering thrives and every person who wants to give back has the support and opportunity to do so.

We are proud to have Volunteer Ireland as part of the Carmichael community.
